Cellulite is believed to be caused by subdermal septae gently pulling beneath the skin, resulting in an unmistakable, uneven, cottage-cheese-like appearance. There are treatments and therapies that try to sever the suspected septae, and while they may reduce the appearance of cellulite, the untethered skin doesn’t return to a desirable, smooth surface.
TauTona believes this is only part of the solution. Which is why we developed a patented system of septae cutting ALONG WITH what we consider to be the missing piece of the puzzle: the dermal splint. Much like placing a cast on broken leg to ensure it repairs to the original form, the dermal splint is a high-tech, structured, silicone patch that, when adhered to the skin, holds the surface of the skin flat while the untethered skin re-tethers (during healing) to form a flatter surface.
